(July 2024) — Legacy Village of Cleveland is thrilled to be the 2024 recipient of the Cleveland Daily Banner’s “Best of the Best” award in four categories: Best Assisted Living, Best Memory Care, Best Retirement Community and Best Overall Business. Legacy Village is honored to receive this recognition in testament to their unwavering commitment to providing a vibrant community and a supportive environment for all residents.
Legacy Village of Cleveland opened in October 2018, becoming the only non-profit Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Cleveland. Legacy Village’s Assisted Living community is designed to provide a worry-free, supportive and fun-loving environment for seniors looking for an active lifestyle but with extra daily support. The residents feel at home, with a lot of opportunities for social engagement and the peace of mind that their needs will be well taken care of.
Legacy Village also contains the only memory care service in Cleveland that offers two neighborhoods depending on the stage of progression, providing specialized care for each resident. The Harbor includes an overall theme, design, and furniture which all reflect the 1950’s era that is reminiscent of resident’s younger days. The Harbor utilizes an innovative Alzheimer’s program called The Purposeful Day (SM) that uses a variety of activities and non-medication therapies to ensure all residents live each day with a purpose and enjoy the highest quality of life.
Another service that makes Legacy Village unique is the Alzheimer’s Support Services, led by Dr. Ron Harvard, which is a complimentary service for residents, their families and the Cleveland community. Harvard has first-hand experience caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s and spends his time being a resource to caregivers in need.
